Introductions Are In Order. Please Keep Your Id Well-Fed

Feed Your Id

I am here to tell you about this new and exciting website.  It is based on art.  Mine (My name is Stefan, by the way), as those whose art I find real and fascinating and moving.  I have always been scientific in my mind; in my profession . . .  But now, you see, I am moving more toward my heart.  In this heart there is ART.  Wonderful, fabulous art.

I play guitar . . .  I know, I know.  Guitarists, like clichés, are a dime-a-dozen.  I also compose music.  I have loved music all of my life, and I’ve been reading books ever since my big sister taught me how to read when I was four (a Golden Books Little Red Riding Hood).

I used to get books for my birthday and for xmas, and unlike most kids, I relished them.  I remember reading The Hardy Boys mysteries, and devouring my sister’s Nancy Drew books.  In fact, I constantly perused books that were on all of the bookshelves of the house; my brother’s; the aforementioned sister . . .  I even got into the bookcase in the living room that was mostly dad’s photography books and dictionaries.  We had it all.

Of course, as I got older, I moved on to the real deal.  I read The Shining when I was eight (dad thought I returned it to the drugstore-he was terrified that I was reading such a book), and I have come to love books of nearly all kinds.  I enjoyed the series of Young Wizards at a certain Academy in Britain very much.  I thought the author improved greatly as the books progressed.  I’m not so crazy about Teenage Vampire Love Stories, or Teenage Death-Match Love Stories, though.

I’ll tell you who I really enjoy.  Thomas Harris.  Charles Frazier.  Umberto Eco.  Jesus, now that I think about it, the list just goes on and on.  I’m sure I’ll eventually get around to mentioning everyone before I am through.  Feel free to list your own recommendations in the comments you submit to this blog.

I hope you really enjoy this page.  I have a lot to say, and all this space in which to say it.

I am in the process of recording an album, which will be available here soon.  I am also making a couple of documentaries, again, to be made available here, too.

So stay tuned, folks.  For the time being I put up some photos of some of my heroes; authors, musicians, scientists . . .  I will credit the copyright and/or the photographers when available.  If you are someone who is responsible for this beauty, please let me know and I will attribute credit accordingly.

All the best and Happy New Year, you crazy art-lovers out there!

Enjoy, and remember:  You must Feed Your Id regularly . . .
